During the last dozen years, Tom Stio has developed a real passion for photographing dance, and has gone on to photograph about 25 dance companies, as well as innumerable dancers. Tom excels at creating one-of-a-kind images which capture the excitement, grace and magic of dance. You've likely seen his dance images on promotional materials, websites, and exhibited in galleries. 

Tom has served as company photographer for the Indiana University Ballet Theatre and Contemporary Dance Programs, and has worked closely with several other dance companies. In addition, Tom was awarded a Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission, enabling him to photograph all the major professional and academic dance companies in Indiana. This experience gave Tom the opportunity to photograph some of the best dancers in the Midwest, and he's now begun photographing dancers and companies across New England, including Spindle City Ballet, the Brown University Dance Ensemble, and Festival Ballet.
